MATZEN Block Entrance Mat — Indoor/Outdoor, Heavy Duty, Non-Slip

I recently ordered this black pattern, heavy duty, indoor doormat for my double-doors that open to back patio. It’s an area that sees a lot of heavy foot traffic and I needed a large, durable doormat to help trap dust and moisture.The doormat arrived safely rolled up without any creases. It unrolled easily and immediately lay flat on the floor. The first thing I noticed was that it had a slight soapy/flowery smell that was not too overwhelming. The smell went away after a day of sitting outside. The next thing I noticed was how thick and durable this mat is. Though it has a raised block pattern, the mat is not uncomfortable to stand on barefoot. The deep grooves help capture dust, dirt, mud, sand and other debris while helping dry wet/muddy/snow-covered shoes or feet. The non-slip lining also helps keep the mat securely in place.This flexible mat is both stylish and functional. It is easy to clean (shake off, vacuum or use a hose and let air dry). It can be used in multiple locations (ie indoors, outdoors, garages, porches, etc) making it extremely versatile.This heavy-duty mat is a welcome addition and I would highly recommend it for all of your high-traffic needs.

This review is for the MATZEN block pattern doormat, which I got in the 4' x 2' size (doesn't seem to be available any longer, but most details would be the same). I have four entry/exit doors to my house plus 2 small porches plus a big screened porch plus a newly-built 32'x10' front porch, so I need a LOT of doormats! I ordered this one specifically for the area in front of the new front porch - we have a pathrway to the 6'-wide opening that leads to the main front door of the house, but our springs tend to be rainy and rain means mud and I really don't want to have to keep cleaning mud off the porch.See my photos, please! The first shows the mat as it arrives - it's all rolled up, so it won't be completely flat when you lay it down, but it will become flat pretty quickly. I left it on the porch for a few days, then moved it in front of the porch entry - that's my second photo. It fits great in front of the steps and allows my visitors and me to wipe our feet before we walk up the stairs to enjoy the porch. My third photo is a closer look at the mat to show texture - it's quite heavy and has, well, blocks and dips so that mud and dirt are caught. All I have to do is spray a hose on it once in a while to get the mud off it and keep it clean - that will be easy!The mat does appear to be nonslip; I have gone in and out of my house via the porch at least a couple dozen times in the past week and the mat hasn't moved. The base is rubber while the mat top is some polyester blend; it looks just fine and its dark gray color matches my dark porch items (light fixtures, window boxes) very nicely. I am very happy to have it and hope it lasts for many years!

I am reviewing the Matzen block pattern doormat. This is a heavy duty door mat. I am impressed by the quality of this mat. It is heavy and will not blow away. The rubber has no smell and the bottom is a nonslip design. It is rough enough on the top to scrap off mud. However, it is comfortable enough to walk on it barefoot. It is thick and lays flat on the ground.I like the block design and it helps with getting your shoes clean.

Heavy grade quality that doesn’t fold over in a strong wind!

This black front door mat is nice and well made. It is the perfect size for outside my front door. I think that the quality is excellent. It comes well packaged. It is rolled up so I put something heavy on it to flatten the corners. It lays flat and does an excellent job with catching the dirt from your shoes. It is easy to clean with a water hose and dries quickly. We are now in the month of August and it still looks new. I am amazed at how well it is holding up and how well it attracts the dirt from your shoes. That means less to clean up inside your home. I would recommend it because it does the job and is affordable.

This is a very nice heavy duty mat that is non slip. I have placed it in front of the door going into the house in the garage. It keeps the dirt from being tracked into the house.The color and pattern is very neutral so it fits well in any location whether it is in the garage, front porch, patio door, etc.The mat came rolled up for shipping but flattened out quickly. The beveled edge on the mat makes it a flat/low profile which really helps to prevent tripping, a good safety feature.

This mat has a nice textured look that adds a little style to the entryway. It feels durable and stays in place, even with regular foot traffic.It does a good job catching dirt and debris before it gets tracked inside. A solid mix of function and design.
